
The Canadian Technology Accreditation Board (CTAB) is pleased to announce the details of the 2017 National Contest. The contest is open to all students in their final year of a CTAB accredited Applied Science or Engineering Technology program in Canada.
Criteria: Applied Research/Technology Reports can be individual or team projects (maximum of four authors). Reports (min 3000 words) must clearly demonstrate research abilities, analysis of a problem, original design, calculations, graphical communications, project management applications, estimating and conclusions in accordance with the National Technology Benchmarks®
Limitations: one submission per CTAB accredited program. Nomination Form must be signed by the Dean or Academic Chair.
Judging: All submissions will be reviewed by a CTAB Contest Committee. Judging will be based on: originality, complexity, academic rigour, innovation, conclusions and overall presentation format. Judge decisions are final.
Format: One copy posted to a secure server with user id and password access. (in pdf format). Projects should be submitted in a single file format, otherwise they may be rejected.
The Top Ten Finalists will be announced by September 30, 2017
Confidentiality: All submissions received will be treated as Confidential and will not be copied or reproduced in any manner. **NEW** in order to showcase the significant work produced by our graduating Technologists, CTAB reserves the right to publish the winning reports on the CTAB website.
