Technology Accreditation Canada Launches Technology Report Contest [1]

Monday, June 8, 2020 - 14:30

Technology Accreditation Canada (TAC) launched its 2020 Technology Report Contest, open to students in their final year of a TAC and CTAB accredited program.

Each accredited program may submit one technology report, written by an individual or a group of up to four students. The report must be a minimum of 3,000 words and follow general learning outcome GY01 Technology Report, which includes research, design, testing, analysis and conclusions related to a significant technology-related issue.

Reports will be first judged by a panel of subject matters experts. The top three reports in each engineering technology and applied science discipline will go forward to a final judging panel which will select the top three reports. Judges will assess the reports on originality, complexity, academic rigor, innovation, conclusion/recommendations and overall presentation/format.

“The Technology Report Contest is a wonderful legacy from CTAB and we are pleased to continue it,” remarks Richard Stamper, TAC Executive Director.  “The contest is a great opportunity to showcase the incredible talent of students in national accredited programs.”

The top entry will be awarded a cash prize of $1,000, with second place and third place awarded $500 and $250 respectively. The deadline for the contest is June 30th. Contest details and the entry form are available at 2020 Technology Report Contest [2].
